Music Marathon is coming...

Sat 17 Nov, 10am–6pm, Brighton Dome Cafe Bar

A new joint enterprise by encore and Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival is bringing 158 young performers to the Dome Foyer in a marathon of music this Saturday! Performing over 8 hours, these young people are also fundraising to support music education for other young people across the city. The event was open to anyone aged 10-25 to play for 5 or 10 minutes, so the turnover of acts will be fast and furious! You can expect to see everything from Folk to Classical, Pop and Rock to Swing, so come and check out the wealth of musical talent Brighton and Hove has to offer.

Performances run continuously from 10am-6pm, with some special guest ensembles along the way. Entry is drop-in with a donation on the door and everyone of all ages is welcome. All proceeds will support music education projects run by Brighton & Hove Music & Arts and Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival. With ever increasing pressure on music education budgets, support for young people that would otherwise not be able to learn instruments, play as part of an ensemble and have opportunities to perform is essential.

You can support the event by coming along and encouraging all our young performers as they play, by giving a cash donation on the day, or by donating online to: brightondome.org/donatemusicmarathon

You can also donate via SMS, send a text with: BDMM18 £3 to 70070. You can change the £3 to any any amount between £1 - £10.

We hope to see you there!
