Brighton Early Music Festival takes live music into primary schools

Musicians from Brighton Early Music Festival (BREMF) visited eight Brighton & Hove primary schools before Easter, introducing children from Reception to Year 6 to the early music sound-world. Instruments on show included recorder, harpsichord, lute and viola da gamba players and all the musicians were impressed by the children’s careful listening skills and in-depth musical knowledge.

These visits were part of the Festival’s Early Music Live! scheme which supports young artists, as well as taking live music into Brighton & Hove schools each spring term. See www.bremf.org.uk/education for more information.
